Testimonials
Hunter, USA
It’s obvious that Sam has the expertise and experience in both photography and analyzing animal behavior. Before attending the course, I considered myself an intermediate/advanced photographer, and there was still plenty that this course had to offer that I really benefitted from.
MELANIE, UK
Sam's knowledge and
ability to spot animals was amazing and always prepared the group when they
were nearby, giving us time to set up our equipment and find the best position to
photograph the animals. This course is a chance of a lifetime and
anyone who is able to go on one of Sam’s courses would be crazy not to.
PHILIP, UK
Sam was a patient mentor able to teach something new to photographers of a variety of skill levels and adapt to our needs as the course progressed. With his knowledge of the conservancy and its animals he has something to offer to every level of photographer.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
The main objective of this tour is to improve your photography. I have therefore developed a programme which is the perfect combination of lecture style learning, and regular, in the field sessions to help you to hone your skills. We will cover all the basics of wildlife photography including Composition, Light, Creativity, Exposure Triangles and Editing Techniques. In addition to this, I will also share incredible facts about the native wildlife and help you to predict an animal's behaviour.
In addition to the photography, you will also meet the incredible men and women who have dedicated their lives to wildlife conservation and in doing so, gain an in depth understanding of what it takes to run a conservancy.
WHERE WILL I BE BASED?
We will based on Imire Rhino and Wildlife Conservancy in Zimbabwe. Imire is a family run, community based wildlife conservancy located about 100kms South-East of Harare, Zimbabwe's capital city. Imire is a truly stunning conservancy whose main focus is the breeding and protection of the critically endangered Black rhino. In addition to this, Imire is home to a plethora of iconic species including White Rhinos, Elephants, Buffalos, Cheetah, Zebra, Giraffe and much more.
